I have a chickie that started to pip this morning. Its made a large hole and has zipped some of the membrane, but theres some blood around it. Its peeping lots. My humidity is pretty steady at 69%. I haven't opened the bator. Is there anything I should do? Why did it bleed?

They all bleed a little b/c they break the remainder of the veins that are in the membrane. As long as it's not losing a lot of blood, or dripping blood, and is still lively, just let it be. He'll be fine. Good luck!

It sounds very lively, peeping up a storm. My little Giblet born this morning is all ready eating and drinking and waiting on her friends. There is just a little blood, just around the edge.
