Chicken age

Hi there. I am looking in too purchasing some more hens. I was in contact with a person, but he does not know for sure how old his hens are are. I was just wondering if there is a way to estimate the age of a hen.

That can be problematic -maybe ask him if they have started laying yet, and if so, for how long. Hens usually start laying around 6 months so that should give you a rule of thumb as to how old they are (roughly, at least)
