Chicken Attack!!

My neighbors chickens came in my backyard and almost killed one of my chickens!!! Her name is Indy and her wing is cut opened bad how do I bandage it and how do I keep the chickens away from the wound!

ANY THING WILL HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!

I would isolate the wounded chicken from the others in your flock. And as for bandaging it---I would just clean it. I have used wound spray from my rural hardware store like Rural King or your feed mill. Make sure the wound is debris free and then spray it well. You can also use A&D ointment or antibiotic ointment as long as it is not the kind with pain killer in it.

She is at the top of the pecking order what should I do then?

No. It does not sting. Birds cannot tolerate the "caine or cane" drugs. Those drugs are lethal!!

She still needs to be removed from the flock. Your own birds will peck on her wounds!

I have a lame/wounded bird right now! She was the top of my pecking order as well. She is in a large dog crate in my game room right now! So I understand!
