I recently got hens and they are staying in the coop until the end of the week So they can get To learn the layout of everything I am going to let them out but the floor of the open area run is concrete and I want to lay bedding down on the concrete. Our family recently hired a tree surgeon to take some branches off of a massive tree he then turned them branches into woodchip but that wood chip isn’t dust extracted I just want to find out if I can use this wood chip in an opened up area that has a 6 foot high fence surrounding the coop

Yes, lay down the wood chips.
Do the birds have any access to the ground?
Thank you for answering my question the birds will have an access to grass in a months time when I will let them into a orchard to free range

Use the wood chips in thin layers, until they dry out some.
Freshly chipped trees, especially if green leaves were included, is very wet and prone to mold blooms. Would be good to mix in a bit of dry straw or other plant matter.
