As for breed...SILKIES!!!!! They are super great pets, and the most friendly chickens ever! Especially since you live in the city, they are small, don't need a huge area, and are...did I mention...AWESOME!?

X2 on drumstick diva. What are you looking for in your birds? I'm guessing eggs and pets? And since you live in the city, you are probably looking for a calmer, quieter breed, correct? Buff orpingtons, black australorps, cochins, sex links, silkies, barred rocks, wyandottes, speckled sussex, buckeyes, naked necks and delawares are all great and worth looking into.
