It’s been going on for a while. My Polish chicken is always being pecked in the head and is always trying to grow them back. I herd that Tea Tree oil helps with injuries and repeals pecking. I just don’t know how I should use it.

Welcome to BYC. Can you post a picture of the head? This is common with Polish chickens to get their head feathers pecked out. Once it starts, it can become bald in a day or two. I always used BluKote Spray on my Polish’s head every other day when it first started, until feathers had completely grown back in a bout 6 weeks. You could also try pine tar which is more messy, but the chickens do not like the taste or to get that on the beaks. My Polish would have this happen about once or twice a year, and the important thing is to notice it happening, before it gets out of hand, so the comb does not become bloody.

You could try peck no more. It’s just a lavender concentration that chickens hate to taste, but it smells pleasant to humans you just have to squeeze a little bit onto the chickens feathers. You could get it at any feed store and I think amazon sells it
