When is a good age to butcher cockerels for meat?

Not the clearest picture but here’s Guinevere my golden cuckoo de malines pullet. She’s a confident bird, I just got her a couple weeks ago so can’t say too much yet but she just keeps getting fluffier!

Since is very rare to see a carcass or comparison I'll leave here a 4 month old freedom ranger(or similar)on the right vs an 8 month old Maline cock on the left.
The solo fotos are all Maline.

They were the first ones I butchered since I got the breed and I'm happy heavy birds big legs and juicy meat even though they are 8 months old i think they reached current weight before this age.

Maline 2,969kg

the thigh and leg weighted 700gr.

on a side note I got a unintended cross with industrial layers I have and got some small almost birds from those eggs.
I butchered them 3 month old and I got a interesting small bird with big meaty legs one of the males that had white skin(like the Maline) the yellow skinned one inherited the layer small legs I'll try to recreate the cross because those birds where perfect size to roast on coals and like I said big legs small breast and fast maturing since they where already jumping on females and had fully formed combs
