Chicken Breed Help

I've had my girls for almost a year and no one has been able to identify my brown hen. I was told when I got her that she was between 1-2 years old and some kind of mutt. Any ideas of what she is? I am curious why she has the "hump" on her back. I'm sort of sure that I have a Buff Orpington, Australorp, and Barred Plymouth Rock as well...Thanks for any help!

She looks like a Rose Combed Brown Leghorn Mix of some kind.

Crossbred of some kind. They are nearly impossible to determine their exact origins. My best guess would be a Leghorn x Wyandotte cross.

Absolutely no idea what the cross hen is, but agree with your breed assessment on the others.

I'm pretty new to this, but that looks an awful lot like a Welsummer to me...

x2 on the Welsummer - I have one and she looks exactly the same coloring and feather pattern wise, sans the rose comb.

Looks like a mix. Wyandotte is likely in the background, hence the rose comb because Wyandottes are the most common rose combed breed, but it could be any manner of things. The hump is normal, just feathers. You can see it on my Australorp if you look closely.

She looks rather like a mutt to me.

That hump on her back is known as a cushion. It's an area of more profuse and thicker feathering that is accentuated in this case by the fact she carries her tail at a strange downward slant.

It looks like a Rose Comb Brown Leghorn. But, since whoever you got her from said she was a mutt, I wouldn't doubt it.
