I have some friends sleeping over and its half and half. Some girls are saying the hens lay the egg and the male sprays it. Me and others are saying the male mounts the hen and fert. it before she lays it.

some how this triggered an image in my mind of my roos running around with the water hose with a nozzle attached just "watering" all the little eggs in the nest box. hehehehe never heard of such a thing.
