ive had 5 roos before, all stunning and show quality, but unfortunately most being to mean and aggressive and i had to give them away. I am left with 1 rooster and i found out silkies are VERY hard to find, especially in connecticut! So i figured i could do a bit of a breeding project, mostly attempting to sell fertile eggs, but could possibly sell them as chicks! For some profit and fun.
im looking to do this in spring because my rooster and girl is almost at maturity to mate! Rooster is crowing, tidbitting, comb and waddle big and red, female is almost old enough to lay eggs, so i figured i could start early at asking this:
would anyone be intrested in possibly getting some silkies in spring? Note that i would like you to be in Connecticut, Massachusetts or somewhere near!
id much rather do eggs then chicks, but it would be possible for me to do so.
heres the thing, for the time being, i am expecting to possibly get more silkies soon, but at the moment, i have a bearded white pure silkie girl, and a non bearded white silkie male, he is not pure i beileve cause he looks different and has red comb and wattles and different color for skin. Im expecting to get a naked neck white silkie and bearded white brown smore looking silkie.
anyway, would anyone be intrested? For 1 hatching egg would be around $5 and 1 newly hatched chick would be around $10? week old chick or a little older would be around $13
the eggs would be must faster, easier, and i could promise fertile!
id like to work on a silked cochin to
again, youd have to wait to early/mid spring and be near, i was just curious if anyone was intrested so it could be something to work towards doing.
i might ship eggs, i will NOT ship chicks whatsoever!
