I have a few questions about my left over chicken drippings from cooking butchered chickens. We pressure cooked 3 birds in a large cooker and the left over liquid we have put in canning jars and put in the fridge. the liquid has turned into a jell. We have already make a bunch of chicken soup. Was wondering what else we could do with the drippings? Can it be frozen in the jars and kept for?

Thanks.

Oh good I have a broth question myself here. In a slow cooker, I cooked what was left on an already cooked chicken carcase about 2 weeks ago & I got about 3 containers out of it. I put 2 containers in the freezer & 1 in the fridge, but since then I just had not had the opportunity to use the jar that is in the fridge, would that still be ok to us or would it already be spoiled? I hate to toss it but thought I should check with others on the shelf life (or fridge life) of the broth?

We pressure canned our broth from our meaties. We did pints because the broth was very concentrated. When we use it, we dilute it with equal amounts of water. I think we processed it at 10 pounds for 20 minutes.

If you do freeze it in the jars, make sure it has room to expand as it freezes. If you don't, jars may explode.
