Hi guys! I’m new here. I have a sick chicken who won’t stand. She is right about a year old this month and is a White Leghorn. Around a week ago I noticed she had trouble walking, which got worse until she couldn’t walk at all and was a little lethargic. When I noticed I separated her from the rest and started to research. So far I’ve given her a dose of dewormer, lots of vitamin/electrolytes, and a healthy dose of calcium. She seems to be doing better I.e. not lethargic and more alert, she is also using her legs-bending them and curling her toes a lot more. But she still can’t stand up, when I hold her up she can walk very lightly but almost loses her balance or can’t bear her weight if I let go, it’s kind of hard to explain. Is there something I am missing or is there any hope for her to get better? I don’t want her to suffer if not...

Edit: I forgot to add that she seems to be losing a lot of feathers on her belly, so I was also wondering if she might just be going through a bad molt and I’m overreacting

Chickens who are molting can still walk. You are not over reacting. Keep her away from the other birds in case it is more than a vitamin deficiency. I wish I could help more.
