But I'll tell you why I do it my way.
My coops are about 3.5 feet wide, about 3.5 feet high where the roosts are. No room for poop boards.
My coops are raised with wood floors, one resin coated, the other painted. No deep litter gonna happen here. Shown here during rebuild before roosts and 4th wall added.

Like I said egg sales pay for everything my hens need to be happy, feed, scratch, and shavings.
All 3 are sustainable, just plant more. GC

I didn’t mention deep litter. Just a reusable scoopable litter. I had asked the OP if they changed their litter weekly and they said yes. I did not realize when replying that somehow you were answering the question as well, sorry for that oversight.

I think both of us are in the same situation with smaller coops as a lot of people have walk in massive coops which isn’t the case for me.
