I have an A-frame chicken tractor with 10 banties in it. They are 5-6 weeks old, and just moved in last week. Of the 10, I have 2 white Wyandottes -- Sophie and Lizzie -- who were raised in a separate brooder because they were so little and seemed a bit more fragile, plus my big brooder was too crowded. I waited to put them in with the others when I moved everyone outside, figuring that way everyone would be equally disoriented and wouldn't pick on the new gals. Well, those 2 are ALWAYS joined at the hip, and ALWAYS at the other end of the tractor from the 8 who were brooded together. They are not getting picked on as far as I can tell (although they were harassed incessantly for the first day by a meanie barred rock who quickly found a new home). I wouldn't care, except at the end of the day when everyone else has gone in the house to roost those two refuse to go in. They chirp frantically and try to snuggle together but they simply won't go in, I think because the others are in there. Once I pick them up and put them to bed they settle in just fine (although at the far corner of the house from the others). Will they eventually be willing to go in, especially since no one's picking on them anymore? I'm getting a little weary of climbing in that tractor to put them to bed!
