Hello
I currently have a flock of 4 Rhode Island Red/Sussex hybrid hens. They are totally free range. They eat layers pellets, grub, plants and household refuse. I replenish their feeder whenever needed and I replenish their water daily. I also clean their coop regularily.
Their is one in the flock who used to get bullied very badly. It got so bad that all her breast feather were gone and it occasionally bled. Eventually it just stopped and hasn't happened since. She is now at the bottom of the hierarchy and spends a lot of her time on her own.
Over the last couple of weeks I have noticed her walking like a penguin. The area around her vent is pretty much bare and it is very swollen as if their are faeces stuck inside. She walks noticeably more different than the rest and is always lagging behind. Despite all this she can run fine and is eating and drinking fine.
It is very strange and I am only 3 years into the whole chicken keeping thing. Any advice on what to do would be very much appreciated!
P.S
