Chicken coop and 6 hens for sale.

$600.

Altamonte Springs, FL (near Orlando)

8' wide by 10' long. I built this coop almost 5 years ago, and have been maintaining/improving it since. Cattle panel wire construction with 1/2" hardware cloth covering. Corrugated aluminum roof and pressure treated base. Solid cedar hen-house construction. Mohagany egg box just for fun. Easy to clean. Will fit on a trailer; you will have to pick it up. I can help load.

Includes automatic hen-house door (https://adorstore.com/products/ador1-automatic-chicken-door) and rodent-proof feeder (http://ratproofchickenfeeder.net/medium/) I'll also include feed, waterer, and any other accessories I have that you want.

These hens are almost 2 years old, born May 2017. There is one each of Blue Andalusian, Barnvelder, Deleware, Salmon Favorelle, Welsummer, and Black Langshan. They are all laying, but slower now in winter. They eat new country organics soy-free layer feed. High quality stuff.

I really love this whole setup, and would absolutely build it again. We're moving and can't take it with us though, so it needs a new home.

Welcome to BYC! I'm not looking to get the coop really, but I'd like the hens for much lower if I would have to meet up with you since I'm about an hour and a half away from you. I understand if you don't want to do that just remember me if you have no one else who wants them.

You can make me an offer on the girls. Might be easier to sell these things separately anyway.

I'm not 100% sure I can get them yet. Depends on if your willing to meet in the middle. I am getting rid of all of my cockerels today so I should have room for them. I would rather you start the price, I think I might make your eyes bleed with such a low number!

Wow, this seems like an amazing setup! I would be interested in purchasing the entire set, including the girls. I'm new to backyard chickens and moving into the Lake Como area this month. I just have to check with the city ordinance to make sure the chickens are allowed, and then I'll be in touch!

I used to live near Lake Como so I know it well. City of Orlando does allow them. Per code only 4, and with a permit. Technically, Altamonte does not allow them, but I've never had a problem. I'm a civil engineer, so if you need help navigating permits, let me know. Here's the City code section: https://library.municode.com/fl/orl...ITIICICO_CH6COREAN_ARTIIIBACH_S6.19GECOKEBACH

This is a great resource!! Thank you so much, I'm looking into it now. Were these hens raised from chicks and friendly towards humans?
