Chicken Coop Question

How much space is a good area for each chicken. I'm not doing free ranging and I want to keep them confined, but how much space is comfortable, per bird?

3-4 sq ft per chicken. Thats about how much that you will need for your chickens to be comfortable

I have heard 4 sq ft inside the coop per bird and 10 sq ft in the run per bird. My understanding is that those are considered minimum numbers if you aren't free ranging.
