I put OSB on the roof and then covered with tar paper and a metal roof, BEST DECISION. I did add insulation because I live in Wisconsin. My husband didn't help me much. He said "YOUR chickens,YOUR project". It took me a good 3 weeks. My 13 yr old daughter helped me. I bought a circular saw and Jigsaw and borrowed my Dad's Ridgid Drill to complete my build.

I used pressure treated 4x4's by 8ft long, and 4x4's by 4ft long for the footprint of my coop. I used hardware cloth 1/4 inch and attached it with washers and screws to the framing to keep the predators out. I sort of copied the Wichita coop on this forum.

I did it myself. First thing I ever built by myself. I can send pictures of the build in progress. I have 7 hens in this coop. They do have access to the fenced in space that the coop is inside. Totally predator proof. I'm happy with the outcome!!
