I’m new raisin chickens, the coop we have is wonderful but I got new baby chickens on the way and I need to build a small coop beside the other coop.
Baby chicks need to be in separate coop from my adult chickens so I need help.

Welcome to BYC! There is a thread with lots of coop ideas here. As a brooder for baby chicks, I use a water trough in our insulated garage. Do you have a brooder set up yet? Will you use a heat lamp or Mamma heating pad?

Where are you? It helps to know your climate on this type of question and many others. If you modify your profile to show a general location this information is always available. Welcome to the forum, by the way. Glad you joined.

How many adult chickens do you have, how many chicks are you getting, and how big (in feet or meters) are your current coop and run? Do you free range? Do you have electricity to the main coop? Do you have an outbuilding (or garage) with electricity?

There are so many different ways you can go with this depending on what you have to work with. A small elevated backyard coop in suburbia can be totally different from a large walk-in goop in a rural area. If you can let us know what you have to work with we may be better able to make helpful suggestions.
