Gave antibocic of liquid n water from tractor suppy, rhode island red and now my buffington has got it now. Not getting better.help

Generally, water soluble powders are near worthless.

The only thing I have found that works through the drinking water is Sulmet.

For what you have you'd be better off to dose them with Liquimycin or Noromycine. Just give the shot in the breast. The cough should be over in 24-48 hours.

If not then you may have something more extensive. You'd need to check with your State Vet. If you hear a rattle or even worse a gurgle then watch out. You are in trouble.

Thanks,I"ll go now to try And find these.Never given a shot, just stick them anywhere in the Breast?

Also,never vacinated my chickens,should I be concerned?

Buy several 3-4 cc/ml syringes. They are usually .50 each. Don't reuse them. Give the shot in the thick part of the breast. It's easy.

Dosage depends on which of the above you can find.
