Chicken Dance?

My girls are almost 22 weeks old. Just a few minutes ago I let them out to play in the yard. My EE ran in front of me .... Stomped back and forth (like she was dancing) ... squated and spread her wings a bit. I just petted her and she went on about her way. Isn't this a submissive thing?? Is she getting ready to start laying??
