Chicken dancing?

I have a chicken and when we let it out in the morning it often does a funny spin/jump dance. It did it again this evening as it was foraging in the dirt. What is the meaning of this?

How old? It does look like a cockerel, I think I see some male saddles. Does he do the dance towards/around the other chickens? Do you have a video? You can upload one to youtube and post the link here.

I remember you posting this bird before and I think I said cockerel. That's his sexy dance.

About 4.5 months old. Sorry no video. And we adopted it as it was being picked on by the neighbours chickens. We only have the one and looking for more so it can have some friends

Yep, he's definitely a cockerel. As for friends for him, I would look for pullets a bit older than him, hopefully laying already.
