chicken disease

Our 8 month old BB red English game bantie died yesterday. Symptoms: not able to hold neck steady. Loss of coordination on right side. Couldn't stay upright. We brought her in to keep her warm and she revived a little, but at the end she started pulling her head way back in kind of a spasm. No other symptoms. Danger to our other chickens?

did you treat her with any medications? if so, did you also treat your other flock?

We thought she had just gotten cold in the snow and she did get a little better when she warmed up. We were watching to see if she might not revive. We started out w/ 10 chickens and now are down to 8 so as you might guess, we don't keep meds on hand.
