Hi everyone, I'm new to owning chickens. I have chickens who will begin laying in the fall, as they are not old enough right now. I'm trying to find an incubator for $200 or less that holds at least 20 eggs. Any suggestions?

I personally love my hovabator. With a turner it'll hold 42 eggs.

Or if you're good at building you could make your own.

What is the hatching rate? & can you send me a link so I can see what it looks like?

From my eggs I've had 90-100% hatch. From other people's eggs and shipped eggs it has been lower. But mostly due to being infertile.

I can take a pic of mine. I currently have eggs in it.

That would be great! I will be hatching eggs from my own chickens so hopefully I have the same success!

Here is the turner I use. The little eggs were shipped, you can see the crazy air cells.

Now why do you draw on the tops of them like that?

Sally Sunshine has a incubation thread that I highly recommend reading before you start incubating. It has everything that you'd need to know.
