Chicken Eye Colors

Has anyone seen a barnyard chicken with two different colored eyes before? I was outside today tending to my animals and I happen to look at one of my cross bred hens that I hatched almost a year ago and I noticed she has a pretty greenish/gray eye and when she turned around the other eye was a deep amber color. Is this a phenomenon of cross breeding genetics?

I have not seen this, but would guess that you are correct- it has to do with the crossings.

Saw an absolutely gorgeous white rock with green eyes; told the breeder and he decided to sell her. Personally I do not like amber; I do like green. (actually, orange is my least favourite colour of all)

chicken who i bought from the pet store as a chick has one red eye and about her oarnge. Is this rare?
