Chicken eye pecking

Am first time chicken owner and have got a coronation , light Sussex and a orph buffing ton . I originally had the coronation and light Sussex, but light Sussex was killed by a dog we had only had them for a few days. So I got 2 more chickens another light Sussex and the orph buffing on the two new ones get on well and the coronation and Sussex get on fine but coronation is pecking around the eyes on the orph buffing ton. What can I do to stop this? Please help.

Is she causing damage to the other bird? If not, I'd just watch it.

If she is causing damage, then I'd separate her in a dog crate or something similar for a week, then put her back and see if the behavior stops. If it doesn't stop, I'd put some pinless peepers on her. You can buy them on eBay and through almost any poultry catalog.

The breed is Buff Orpington, by the way. Buff is the color (that bright gold) and Orpington is the breed. On BYC you'll often see them referred to as BOs or Orps. You can also get other colors of Orpingtons, so not all Orps are BOs. Make sense?
