Chicken Eye problems

like I just got 2 EE chickens 3 days ago and My chickens jumped on them realy good. After that I seen some white bubble like stuff coming out of one of the chickens eyes. The other looks fine and I did not see anything wrong with them when I got them. I have her in the house away from the others but I want to know what this could be and what to do to get her better and keep my others from geting what ever it is. She has no other problems that I can see just the eye. I read someware that it could be many kinds of infection and to put her down and that my other chickens will get it to. Please someone help, I dont want to lose my babys from this. Also can you eat the eggs from a chicken that is sick? I will try and get a pic of her and post it later. Thanks so much

You did the right thing removing her. First, rub some antibacterial on a q tip. Rub all around the eye and very light on the eyelid. Repeat until it goes away. Keep the bird separate.
I've had this a few times, but it healsina day or too.
Let us know if your bird has any more ailements accompanying it.

just to update, the hen is out of the house and back with the other girls. The things you told me worked really good, she is all better and has no problem with the eye at all. Now if I can just get her to start back laying. Thanks every one.
