I apologize for not scanning the label, my scanner doesn't work, but I can give an overview of ingredients of two by memory: I've used 4 feeds total so far:
McGeary Organics Chick Starter, Countryside Naturals Organic Starter & Layer Feeds, Nutrena, and just got Buckeye. I'm returning Buckeye unopened. I don't use "by-products" if possible, for dogs, cats, chickens, self.
Nutrena personal review, and, forgive me, opinion.
I've used Nutrena Natural when I've been really low on Countryside or McGeary's, and it doesn't have antibiotics, but it looks like grape nuts, has little smell or taste, and uses Corn, Soy, Wheat, and grain by-products as the main ingredients. Fortified with synthetic vitamins. Has slightly higher protein than Countryside, but I don't remember specifics.
Buckeye feed:
I had one of those "imygosh I'm out" episodes this afternoon, sent DH to the feed store for Nutrena, was told they don't carry it any more, and DH came home with "Buckeye" brand. Every food-substance in it is "by-product". It also includes "Porcine By-Product" in it.
