Hi all!
My chicks are 4 weeks old and I’m starting to think about what type of feed to get them next. What is the difference between pullet developer and grower feed? What protein level should I get? When switching from chick starter do you mix the new food in? What ratio of each and how long do you mix for?
Thanks for your feedback!

I would just keep them on the chick food or switch them over to Flock Raiser and be done with it.
The main difference between starter and grower is lower protein content in the grower. The next formula that some would recommend is layer which is generally only 16% protein and 3 to 4% calcium.

What I prefer is to keep them on Flock Raiser for life with several containers of oyster shell on the side. I put the OS containers in high traffic areas and keep them topped off. These should go out at week 15.

Hi, pullet developer may contain Calcium. Grower probably has extra protein for growth. Can you post pictures of the ingredients?

I would read and follow the directions on the bag of chick starter.
I feed a Medicated Starter Grower feed 18% Protein till 10 weeks then when bag is empty I switch to a Non-Medicated Starter-Grower or a All-Flock/Flock Raiser feed 18-20%. GC
What brands do you like?
