Want feedback on Kalmback All-Natural Henhouse Reserve 17% Protein Premium Layer Chicken Feed. Does anyone use?

Yep I used it for a bit
It's nutritious and all but the chickens pick through it to get to their favorite parts. They completely ignored the field peas in it.

If I was you, I would use dumor 16% layer pellets. They are my hens favorite. But the other feed is good too

From everything I have read it looks to be a great feed but i would soak it as a lot of hens will just pick through to their favorite part and soaking helps prevent it. But I haven’t ever used it so just going off of what others have said.

I don't use that particular formulation, but I do use their flock maker pellets with good results

The thing about whole grain feeds is it needs to be wet or fermented else the birds can pick through the food and only eat the bits they like and they won't get the vitamin powder mixed in - all that "dust" is intentional and very important to your flock's nutrition. if you don't, they can get malnourished. The protein on the feed is also a bit lower than I'd like
