Chicken Feeding Questions

I have two Silkies, Oscar the Grouch and Hattie. Do you have to feed them chicken feed? The breeder I got them from said you can just feed them table scraps and they seem to be doing just fine on those. I feed them bread, veggies, fruit, sweet potato and potato peelings, and any other table scraps we have. Can they eat banana peels? Or orange peels? Is there a thread with foods they can and can't eat on it? Oh and non feed related question, since Silkies are long haired do you have to groom them?

I don't see much protein in your list, if any. How would you know they were getting the vitamins and minerals they needed for their best health?

What should I feed them for protein? They get oats every day.

I am wanting to know if I can feed my chickens fresh corn shucks and silk?

Is there a list of what vegetables are ok to feed chickens?

You could use a vitamin and mineral premix and mix it with the oats to help with them getting the right vit. And minerals
