Okay. So Ella fell into some water, and her head went under for about 2 seconds. I got her out, and she was shivering and was making kind of a hiccup type movement. Twitching, I guess. She was peeping and chirping, and her eyes open every so often. Her vent looks kind of funny, like it looks when she's about to poop, but I'm not sure if that's just because or if it means something. I offered her feed, and she wouldn't eat (which is astounding for her). I am very nervous, as I love her so much. My mom is out in the sun holding her tight to warm her up and dry her off, but she's still 'hiccuping', but not very often. It is 90 degrees here, so it's not like she fell in water and will literally freeze. She will sit on her hocks (or whatever they call them... the back of her legs) but won't stand. Any advice is appreciated, thank you SO much.

Dry her off with a towel. If you have a heat lamp, put her under it, if not, take a blow dryer to her. Isolate her from the rest of the flock until she starts acting normally. She might be a little shocky, but if you warm her up and let her rest quietly, she will probably be OK. I had a week old chick go through this with no problems. Holding her is probably just going to stress her out more, so put her in a cage.

Okay. Thanks :3 We just did this; she's acting normally now. I just put her in with the other ones for a bit, and isolated the agressive one. Thank you soo much. Is there any risk of pneumonia (sp?) or any other disease that can develop over time?

Just an update;
She's acting normal (well.. as normal as she'll ever be...

). How long until she's out of the woods?
