Chicken Fleas?

Went to collect the eggs the last few times and got what appeared to be fleas on me. Ive never noticed fleas on chickens before. Are they indeed fleas and how do you folks get rid of them? Thanks.

Probably lice and/or mites. If the birds are very infested, they will hop on you, though they will not stay. Hope this helps; good pics in the first one.

Diatomaceous earth, food quality. Get a bag and dust those chickens, measure some into their feed to boot.

Ok. I got a bag of DE but it doesn't have any instructions. It only says that it can cause eye irritation to livestock. Any suggestions? Thanks.
