I am going to start a jar to keep the $ I get for the eggs I sell. We are already 1/3 of the way to paying for the next bag of food after I have sold 2 dozen eggs.

I am fascinated by how little food my Delightful Dozen actually eat now that they are out in the yard for 3 - 6 hours a day. I also improved my food delivery system and have very little food waste and that helps.

After the DD have been out in the yard for a few hours, their crops are so full you can see it when you see them in profile. In comparison, when we let them out in the afternoon they have been inside will all the layer pellet they want and the crops are flat. Amazing creatures, so self sufficient, no wonder they are all over the world in one variety or another. What a self sufficient little engine.
