Chicken Food

What can a chicken not eat? And I read somewhere that you can give your chicken cat or dog food, is that true?

Chickens will eat almost anything including dog and cat food, but most brands have far to much filler / ash / indigestible fiber and not enough nutrition. Years ago (and in a pinch) I gave fish cat food to sick hens to boost protein but now I stick with live culture yogurt, liver and meal worms.
