Chicken found. Don't know breed/sex/age

A friend of mine sent me photos of a chicken she found. It ran away with a rope tied around it's neck. I'm also wondering if the black comb is normal or if that means she/he could be ill?

To me it looks JUST like my black sexlink hens, some of which have some black on their faces. It is definitely a hen, and she doesn't look very old. Good thing your friend fond her, from the sound of it, she came from a bad situation. Here is a picture of a black sexlink to compare:

This girl is laying so her face has reddened a bit, but as a pullet she had a black face.
