Chicken friendly resort

I have just returned from the IFA Bavaro Villas Resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. This place is full of free ranging chickens, turkeys, ducks and pea foul. It only took a day to get this mother hen eating out of my hand.

These turkeys run the place.

The peacocks attracted lots of attention.

This rooster is checking out the beach going crowd.

We passed by Dominican Rebublic when we were living on our sailboat in the Caribbean. We ended up going to Dominica instead (different place!), which was a bad move- someone climbed aboard our boat around midnight. Creepy anchorage too. Luckily he didn't take anything, we scared him off.
