Hello all,

We hatched 6 chickens from eggs we received from 4-H. She named a few breeds she had and said she mainly had "muts" and easter eggers. We're more curious about the gender than the breed because we're not allowed to have roosters but we'll take any information/opinions you fine folks may have on either! They are currently 2 months and almost a week old. If that's too early to identify I completely understand, but I figured it was worth a shot. These are 3 of the 6 we're looking to identify. I'll post the other 3 soon and if I need better pictures I'll work on that as well, obviously it's not that easy to hit a moving target! lol

Image 1 the chicken in question is the one in the foreground.

Image 2 is pretty self explanatory.

Image 3 it's the black bird in the middle with the bit of brown in the breast.

Image 4 is one the same bird, I just got two decent shots so I figured I'd add them both.

Thanks guys!

How old are they? EDITED just re-read and saw your stated 2 months, or 8 weeks.

Yes, they are all Easter Egger mutts. I can see some muff on all of them.

I can tell you that Image #2 is a rooster...the greyish bird with red bars on the wing...a dead give away.

Image 3 and 4 may be a rooster. It is hard to tell with the shot that far away, but the comb looks pretty developed for 8 weeks indicating roo, but wait it out, it is not very red yet.

I think image 1 is a pullet, again hard to tell with shot so far away, but the comb looks pretty undeveloped.

Thanks! I'll try and get some better pictures to try and clarify a little.
