Chicken has E-coli how long is it contagious?

We only have 5 bantams (kid's pets) and one of them got sick last week. To make a long story short our 19 week old Rosecomb spent 5 days at the Vet and almost didn't make it. They did a culture & sensitivity test and the result was an "overwhelming E-coli infection". He had the lab test to be sure it is not the strain that gets people sick so no worries there. He also mentioned that all chickens have E-coli in their systems but the balance got thrown off for some reason. She is on Clavamox antibiotic three times a day by mouth for 14 days. She is home now and the Vet told me to keep her separated from the others for a week. Really bad timing as we are going on vacation next week and I will have someone come take care of them twice a day but I am worried about having chickens getting sick while I am gone. Anyone have experience with only one chicken with E-coli and the others not getting it? How long is she contagious for?
Thanks for reading. Any advice would be great.

I had two peahens with E. coli infections that were also put on Clavamox for 14 days and none of the other peafowl or chickens got sick from being around them or with them. The infections that mine had were secondary infections from another sickness that they had, blackhead (histomoniasis), so one did not get it from the other.

Probably best to check with your vet.
