I'm going to order baby chicks for the first time and i don't know which hatchery to use. i would prefer one that has fare pricing and that will also vaccinate the hens. if anyone recommends me a good hatchery, that's great. thanks for all your help.

Most of the big hatcheries are similarly priced and I think most offer vaccination. You will also find good and bad reviews for any hatchery you look at. If ordering for shipped chicks, I would personally find one that is somewhat close (if in MN, order from IA rather than TX...). However, several hatcheries work together so if you order from hatchery X, the chicks might be drop-shipped by hatchery Y.

Are you looking for anything in particular? Show quality Rhode Island Reds, or a couple laying hens for your backyard?

im looking for either bantam easter eggers hens or regular sized easter egger hens. i also live in CA.

i ordered 16 chicks from meyer hatchery and got 17, its been a month and everyone is doing really well! havnt lost any and everyone is growing! the only thing i didnt like was that my buff laced polish is missing a toe nail. but meyer does as little as three chicks for shipping. they are located in ohio and im in maryland and i got them then very next day. i highly recomend them!
