Two of our chickens broke out their coop and decided to have fun outside the coop ( right where our dogs are ) we sadly lost one chicken and the other is suffering from heatstroke and trauma from witnessing our other chicken getting attacked by one of our dogs. We currently have her staying inside with electrolyte water with honey and small chunks of watermelon and her normal feed. She struggles to walk around normally and is just slumping around on the floor. Luckily she has been drinking water and eating a little bit though she has puked up some of the food and water. We have no idea how long it will take her to recover from such events or if she can and if she will ever be able to go back out to the coop. Any ideas how to help her get her strength back up or how to help with said trauma? Anything helps

Are you sure a dog did not get hold of her at all? Have you checked her over thoroughly for injuries?
We checked her yes and she has no loss of feathers, wounds, or anything as far as we looked and seen. She has just been weak and has gotten better with moving today but she just puked up her food and water it looks like.

What I'm wondering is, if it's possible one of the dogs picked her up in its mouth without puncturing her (no wounds) but possibly squeezed her so she's kinda sore and bruised on the inside. You know, like crushed a little bit. Looking at her and watching her move, could that be a possibility? I mean, did you see the attack so you know that didn't happen, or is it possible?

sadly we weren't there when the attack happened but she was hiding in our bushes far away from the dogs. She was just nested in some dirt where they like to do their dust baths in. we have watched her move she does stumble backwards when she tries to do a full on stride/ walk fast.
