Mating does not necessarily mean eggs. Is she moulting by any chance? Has she ever laid an egg? Maybe eggs are close? My Marans, for example, didn't start laying until 31/32 weeks.

Ours roosters started trying to mate about 2 mos before the hens started laying. About 2 weeks after the hens started to think it was a good idea too (they started cooperating with being covered and stopped squawking and trying to get away) we got our first eggs sporadically. Seemed when a hen would seek out a rooster she was ready to go lay an egg. Now they're all producing eggs... soooo many eggs! Good thing it's baking season. I don't have enough buyers lined up yet.

If yours are letting the rooster cover, you're probably getting close
