Chicken is spitting/throwing up.

Our female cochin sits on her perch at night and leans down and throws up a clear liquid. Wht would be the problem? She doesn't display any other sysmptoms and seems to be just fine otherwise.

She may have an intestinal obstruction due to something (inedible) she ate. Her crop is not emptying and when she lowers her head, the crop contents flow out. This is a pretty serious condition. I lost my favorite hen to an obstruction after she ate some staples I had left on the ground after doing some maintenance on the chicken's run. I would take her to a vet.
