Chicken laws for Mount Airy, NC

Does anyone know what they are? I can't seem to find a solid answer other than "no livestock allowed if you have less than 10 acres, but chickens aren't defined as livestock". It's possible that I will be moving there, so I'd like to know if I can have chickens or not before a decision is reached.

I just moved out of Mount Airy in February and while I didn't keep chickens while I was there (only 2 years) I know several people kept chickens inside the city limits. The code link above is pretty vague but it's a start..
