Chicken Laws in Gladstone Missouri

Anyone here from Gladstone, MO?

The ordinance here requires you to have 3 acres of land in order to have chickens.

I've started a group to try to get this changed. Please join this group if you are in Gladstone and are interested in helping.

We have met a few times and are now putting together a brochure with information about urban chickens.

Our biggest hurdle is now getting some pictures on our brochure, since none of us currently have chickens yet.

Is there anyone here who has pictures of their own hens that would be willing to give us permission to use them? We are looking specifically for hens that look like they are in a suburban setting.

(I know I could just do a google image search, but I would prefer to have permission to use the pictures to avoid any copyright issues.)

Hello all,
I've just joined this morning. I have 9 chickens and 2 ducks. I live by Worlds of Fun and would be willing to send you some pics of my backyard babies. My membership is pending in your FaceBook group. I have a friend who buys duck eggs from me that lives in Gladstone and she really wants my Ducks. My Drake (Max) is stressing my chickens out like crazy.

Gladstone, Missouri is considering updating its ordinances. There is an open study session about this tonight (August 15, 2022) at 7 p.m. during the Planning Commission meeting in City Hall (7010 N Holmes St, Gladstone MO)
