Soft shelled eggs or no shelled eggs? Provide more calcium. When my wife cooks she saves the egg shells. We dry them. Break them into small pieces and feed it back to the hens; a good source of calcium and no soft shelled eggs are laid.
It sounds like she had a lash egg, which is tissue from the oviduct. She may have salpingitis or be laying internally. Here is a thread or two about lash eggs:
