chicken laying two eggs the same day?

Yesterday my hen did not laid her egg as usually does (morning) or at least most of the days (she is a white leghorn) so I sadly returned home, so around at 5pm I returned to clean and feed her and just in case double check and still no egg But oh surprise this morning I found two eggs in the nest box.

Two eggs in one day is common with young pullets.

While reading about the white leghorn, I read that to make an egg the hens or the proccess to make an egg takes 24hrs. It never mentioned that pullet could lay two eggs the same day, that why I was impressed this morning, I guess you learn something new everyday. so now I know pullets may lay two eggs.
