Chicken-less newbie

Hi, just joined the group. My wife and I went to the "a peep at the coops" tour in East Dallas this past weekend and are now excited about getting involved in raising chickens. Both of us grew up in farm country and have a nice sized lot with vegetable garden, herb garden and two friendly Australian shepherds. I will learn what i can from this site and hopefully begin building a coop this weekend! I look forward to learning more. dt
