Chicken lost balance

I was putting hay in the run and one of my chickens was walking and fell over on her back. She got up and was acting totally normal after. What happened?

Really hard to know from the info.

Could she have tripped?

If it is from illness or neurological problems, she will do it again, or you will notice her dragging a wing lower, or her head will also bob, or something similar.

Pick her up and check her for obvious signs of duress, injury, parasites, starvation.

If all seems well, then simply keep an eye out.
