I had absolutely no idea how much I was going to love my chickens! They are now 10 weeks old and think I am their mama! I was never an animal lover until I started raising these babies. Anyone else experience this??? Chickens simply are the BEST!
I like feeding them, letting them go broody, watching them play, and giving them treats! Chickens are amazing pets and amazing hobby farm animals. I have officially caught the chicken math bug and now I can't help but dream of getting more.

Ocean, a beautiful cross-breed hen who was hatched with fewer feathers than her siblings, probably because her father was a naked-neck silkie.

Your chickens are beautiful! Unfortunately I have less than a half acre of yard...so right now we only have 3. But the chicken math bug has gotten me bad! I have 2 lavender ameraucanas and a black split...but I really want a black australorp and a sultan. My hubby is going to build our coop a bit bigger next spring, and then hopefully I can add 3 to my flock. I'm so envious of your large chicken family!
